ISTANBUL (AP) — Turkey's prime minister says a plane intercepted on its way from Moscow to Damascus was carrying military equipment and ammunition to Syria.
He says the cargo seized by Turkish authorities yesterday was destined for the Syrian military.
Syria has denied that the Airbus A320 was carrying illicit cargo.
